Melting Away



The tears have stopped falling



The pain has numbed my senses



It has taken control over my body



I am no longer in control of my surroundings







I walk through each day as if they were the same



No longer caring about the little things



Feeling nothing yet seeing everything



I only exist I do not live







No longer am I seen by anyone



I have melted into the world around me



Becoming the nothingness that surrounds everyone



Yet I remain on this earth







I stay to keep those around me at peace



To give them all that I have left in me



Hiding the pain that now has overwhelmed my body



I will not leave them to face this cruel world alone







My inner spirit is fading away

How can I love you when he has my heart
